On one hand...
…Companies are facing labour and skills shortages with a job vacancy rate at a historic high in Europe.
And while employment is the main gate to social inclusion, discrimination is a major obstacle when looking for a job but also in the workplace.
Labour shortages are often linked to evolving skill needs, in the context of the green and digital transitions, and to the employer’s inability to attract and retain talent.
3% job vacancy rate at a historic high in Europe.
86% employees are not engaged at work.
And on the other hand...
…Europeans are unhappier with their workplaces than anyone else in the world with 86% employees who are not engaged at work, and 1/3 employees who consider quitting in the near term. Furthermore, the world is grappling with a mental health crisis. It is estimated that more than 84M people (one in six) in the EU are struggling with mental health problems.
There are no problems,
only solutions.
One way to tackle labour and skills shortages but also the mental health crisis the World is facing, is by ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education, as well as promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all, and this can be achieved with Learning solutions, and more specifically EdTech (aka LearnTech) solutions.
"EdTech solutions can help people learn and operate better, by making learning more affordable, efficient, effective, and engaging.
EdTech solutions can help companies hire more precisely and fairly, onboard, train, reskill, and upskill their workers."
